More than a thousand companies will demo embedded technology products to 32,000 trade visitors at the Embedded World 2020 Exhibition, that takes place from February 25 to February 27 at the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg in Nürnberg, Germany. The exhibition hall will be roughly organized into categories for hardware, tools, system and application software, electronic displays, embedded vision, and safety and security.
What follows is a sampling of the many products available for viewing and the companies offering demonstrations during the Embedded World 2020 Exhibition, and where you'll find them on the show floor.
Adlink - Hall 1, Stand #540
Fanless MVP-5100-MXM (left, above) and MVP-6100 (right, above) edge computing platforms from Adlink feature 9th general Intel Core processors and an MXM GPU module powered by an NVIDIA Quadro embedded GPU that offers up to 2048 CUDA cores and 6.4 TFLOPS of FP32 performance.
Adlink will also show the EGX-MXM-T3000 MXM GPU module, powered by the NVIDIA Quadro RTX embedded GPU with NVIDIA Turing architecture, that features 288 Tensor Cores, 2304 CUDA cores, and 36 RT cores.
Allied Vision - Hall 2, Booth #2-540
Alvium 1800 U-040 and U-158 cameras from Allied Vision feature Sony Pregius CMOS global shutter image sensors. The Alvium 1800 U-040 offers a 0.4 MPixel IMX287 image sensor, features a 6.9 µm pixel, and 278 fps image capture. The Alvium 1800 U-158 features the 1.58 MPixel IMX273 image sensor, has a 3.45µm pixel, and offers 149 fps image capture.
Both cameras have USB3 Vision compliant interface with screw-locked connectors, on-board image correction functionalities, and high-precision triggering.
Basler - Hall 2, Booth #2-550
Basler at Embedded World 2020 will release the first camera module, and matching add-on camera kits, for NXP's latest i.MX 8M Plus applications processor, that features a dual camera image signal processor (ISP) and an accelerator for neural networks. The company will also show its new AI Vision Solution Kit with cloud connection, that grants direct access to Amazon Web Services cloud services.
Demos will also be given for digital signage, security access control, and motion analysis applications.
MVTec - Hall 4, Booth #203
Deep learning HALCON 19.11 software and MERLIC 4 machine vision software will be shown by MVTec. HALCON 19.11 will be demonstrated on an NVIDIA AGX Xavier board, analyzing different objects in real time. A second demonstration will involve an application where four embedded boards are each set to solve a vision task, with respective cameras aligned to different spots on an analysis object moved horizontally at high speeds. MERLIC 4 will be demonstrated by detecting and inspecting objects, using medical sample tools as an example, with all processing done on an embedded board.
OnLogic - Hall 1, Stand 1-360
AMD Ryzen mini PCs from OnLogic are designed for use in manufacturing, automation, transportation, digital media, medical, and other IoT and Industry 4.0 applications. OnLogic will also show the MC850-40 compact industrial edge server, that can be configured with a number of AMD processors and is designed for desktop installation, and MK400-40 4U rackmount servers based on AMD EPYC Rome 7002 Series CPUs.
Vecow - Hall 1, Booth #1-440
Vecow will be showing a range of products including the AI-ready Inference System that integrates pre-trained models, the GPC-1000 series AI computing system with 9th Gen Intel Xeon/Core processors, the SPC-5000/5100 ultra-compact fanless box PC, the IVH-9204MX ICY series fanless embedded workstations, the RMS-1000 1U rackmount computer system, and PE-5000 Series 10GigE + POE frame grabber.
