Photoneo recently launched the Alpha 3D Scanner, a 3D, "plug and play“ device designed for simple machine vision tasks in areas such as logistics. The scanner has structured light 3D sensing technology and has 1440 x 1080 resolution, with a maximum optimal scanning distance of up to 2331 mm, maximum scanning distance of up to 3780 mm, scanning area at sweet spot of 1091 x 761 mm, and a scanning time starting from 450 ms. It has 24V power and is PoE capable and has a 1 Gbit ethernet connection. It is 416 x 68 x 86 mm, weighs 950 g, has an operating temperature range from 0- 40°C, and is rated IP65.
