GigE Vision Cameras with UV-sensitive Sensors

June 15, 2022
With the UV-sensitive sensor, users can develop new inspection applications, such as the detection of errors in semiconductors, mold in food, or transparent materials during waste sorting.

MATRIX VISION has introduced GigE Vision® cameras with UV-sensitive global shutter CMOS IMX487 sensors from Sony. With the addition of the UV spectrum, users can develop new inspection applications, such as the detection of errors in semiconductors, mold in food, or transparent materials during waste sorting. With a pixel size of 2.74 µm, the cameras achieve a resolution of 8.1 MPixels. In the GigE version mvBlueCOUGAR-X, the camera reaches 25 fps at full resolution, whereas in the mvBlueCOUGAR-XT with 10GigE interface, the camera reaches 147 fps. The cameras in the mvBlueCOUGAR range are compatible with the GenICam™ and GigE Vision standards. Drivers are available for both Windows and Linux. The camera also supports third-party software that is compatible with GigE Vision. Initial prototypes are available now, and the cameras will be in series production, beginning in July 2022.
