The Dione S 640 is sensitive in the 8 to 14 µm spectral range.

Optimized for low SWaP (Size, Weight and Power) the Dione S 640 LWIR camera features a rolling shutter microbolometer with VGA resolution (640 x 480), 12 µm pixel size, spectral range of 8 – 14 µm, and up to 60 fps full frame capture. It also features a SAMTEC ST5 connector, GenICam compliance, and M24 or M34 lens configurations. 

Both models have an operating temperature range from -40° C to 70° C, 40 g shock protection and 5 g vibration protection, and meet the MIL-STD810G standard. The M24 model has a 37.4 x 37.4 x 28.4 mm footprint and weights 50 g; the M34 model has a 42 x 42 x 30.3 mm footprint and weights 55 g.
