Digi-Key is the world's fastest-growing online distributor of a wide range of different technological products, especially electronic components. Recently, Vzense and Digi-Key have agreed to do a partnership and Vzense will launch top of the line ToF (Time of Flight) 3D cameras on Digi-Key’s massive reaching website and platform.
Digi-Key, as one of the world’s largest distributing websites for electronic products, has opened several new doors for Vzense. Digi-Key will help Vzense to distribute top of the line ToF (Time of Flight) 3D cameras worldwide at an affordable price. Currently three of Vzense ToF products are on the website: the DCAM 710 camera and two from the DCAM550 family of cameras. Vzense will launch a new model DCAM560C series in Q2 2022 on Digi-Key's website.
Time of Flight (ToF) is a principle to measure the object’s 3D location by measuring the time a light pulse travelling from a light emitter to a targeted object and back to a detector. ToF technology can be used for different uses, such as people counting, drawing 3D objects, etc. Vzense has a few different families of cameras to fulfill different needs based upon the customer’s requirements. The two families sold on Digi-Key come from the general public’s variation (DCAM 710) and the commercial grade (DCAM550). DCAM 710 is a more general use, which combines ToF technology and an RGB camera (color in the visible light spectrum) to allow one to have a more accurate and easier way to see image projected. However, for those wishing to use an infrared camera and ToF technology only for their industrial integration or application, the DCAM 550 family is a better choice for them. This is a beefier, and an industrial grade camera that can work for various tasks. This can be used for palletization (robots loading pallets), AGV (Automated Guided Vehicles), people counting, and several other functions which need a sturdy and more professionally protected camera.
