ToF Camera Development Kit

May 19, 2022
The camera simultaneously outputs 3D depth infrared brightness and RGB images.

The KEA time-of flight (ToF) camera development kit (CDK) is designed to maximize flexibility while providing clean, high-quality 3D data from product development to production. Users can optimize performance with Chronoptics’s software defined 3D ISP, simplify prototyping with intuitive configuration tools and SDK, and deploy at the edge with broad features and on-camera processing. The camera simultaneously outputs 3D depth infrared brightness and RGB images. The unit measures 100 × 40 × 35 mm, offers a resolution of 640 × 480 pixels (VGA), features the Melexis MLX75027 ToF sensor, and offers a 62° × 49° field of view. It is compatible with USB 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet, and HDMI interfaces. API support is for C, C++, Python, Matlab, ROS, OpenCV, and PCL. Its maximum frame rate is 40 depth FPS @ VGA (Embedded), and its configurable operating distance is from 0.4 to 15 m. Illumination is via OSRAM BIDOS® VCSELS offering a wavelength 940 nm.
