Vision Components Introduces Stereo 3D Camera and MIPI Modules

May 11, 2022
The MIPI camera modules integrate global shutter sensors from the Sony Pregius S series.

Vision Components will launch the VC Stereo Cam for 3D and two camera MIPI modules in June at Embedded World 2022 in Nuremberg, Germany. The camera is based on the company’s FPGA hardware accelerator VC Power SoM, which processes large data volumes in real time. The camera captures images via two MIPI camera modules and executes image pre-processing routines including, for example, 3D point-cloud generation. The MIPI camera modules, which will also premiere at the trade fair, integrate various global shutter sensors from the Sony Pregius S series with minimal noise and high light sensitivity: IMX565, IMX566, IMX567 and IMX568. Using the MIPI modules, engineers and integrators can design vision applications with high-resolution sensors and different shutter variants, as well as sensors for SWIR and 3D/ToF applications.
